This Is the Kit’s Moonshine Freeze is a 2017 album led by singer-songwriter Kate Stables, combining contemporary folk with subtle indie rock and beautifully understated arrangements. Produced by John Parish, the record is built around Stables’ distinctive vocals, intricate guitar and banjo playing, with brass and gently shifting rhythms adding colour throughout. Highlights include “Bullet Proof,” “Hotter Colder” and the title track “Moonshine Freeze.”
