Record Collectors Grading System

We use the standard record collectors grading system on all of our pre-loved records. Here's a breakdown of what those grades mean:

New/Mint (M)

The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some minor signs of being played, such as light scuffs from the sleeve etc. The sleeve might have slight wear and/or minor creasing.

Good (G)

The record has been played a lot, and will have considerable sound deterioration. The sleeve will likely have multiple issues such as split spines, discolouration, ringwear, edgewear etc.

Near Mint (NM)

There are no surface marks to vinyl. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Very Good (VG)

The record has been played many times, and may have some scratches. Normal wear and tear to sleeve, but only a few issues. On the whole an acceptable copy.

Fair (F) / Poor (P)

There are also Fair (F) and Poor (P) grades, but we will rarely carry items in this condition.

All grades can be subject to + and -

We will always try to include a description of the item in the details also.
