'Out There' is the 2007 debut album from The amazing UK collective The Heliocentrics. The band takes influences from some of the greats; James Brown, Sun Ra, Ennio Morricone, and David Axelrod. The sum of which defies genre - a huge fusion melting pot encompassing jazz, funk, hip-hop, psychedelia, early electronic and global ethnic musics. It's no wonder the likes of DJ Shadow and Madlib hold them in such high regard. 'Out There' is where the third eye-opening funk all started.
