The Colorblind James Experience's Why Should I Stand Up?is a 1989 album combining alternative rock, Americana, folk and country influences with the band's distinctive offbeat songwriting. Led by Chuck Cuminale, the group developed an eclectic sound characterised by wry humour, unconventional arrangements and a loose, roots-influenced musical style. An engaging release from one of the more individual American alternative bands of the late 1980s.
