Teddy Edwards’ Good Gravy is a 1981 quartet session showcasing the tenor saxophonist’s warm, full-bodied tone and deeply swinging approach. Backed by pianist Horace Parlan, bassist Jesper Lundgaard and drummer Billy Hart, Edwards moves comfortably through hard bop and blues with the relaxed authority that characterised his later recordings.
