Siouxsie and the Banshees – Through the Looking Glass (Vinyl LP, Polydor Records, 2018 Reissue) – Mint / Sealed

Siouxsie and the Banshees' Through the Looking Glass, originally released in 1987, is the British post-punk band's eighth studio album and a collection of ten cover versions reflecting their wide-ranging musical influences. Combining gothic rock, psychedelia and adventurous orchestral arrangements, the album reinterprets material by artists including Iggy Pop, Bob Dylan, Kraftwerk and Billie Holiday. Highlights include "This Wheel's on Fire," "The Passenger," "Hall of Mirrors" and "Trust in Me," each transformed through the band's distinctive sound and Siouxsie Sioux's commanding vocals. This 2018 Polydor reissue presents an important recording from the group's later catalogue.
