Ray Bryant’s Here’s Ray Bryant is a fine showcase for the American jazz pianist’s blues-rooted, swinging style. Bryant combines elegant melodic playing with gospel and blues influences, giving the session an easy warmth while retaining plenty of rhythmic drive. A strong Pablo Records release from one of jazz’s consistently engaging pianists.
