Paul McCartney’s self-titled debut solo album was originally released in 1970, shortly after the end of The Beatles. Recorded largely at home and with McCartney playing almost every instrument himself, the album has an intimate, deliberately stripped-back character that moves between melodic pop, rock and informal instrumental sketches.
