‘Showtunes’ is the fifteenth LP by Lambchop. The LP sees Kurt Wagner moving yet further away from his alt. country roots  The changes come about from Wagner converting guitar lines to piano line and further processing them from there. Showtunes, but not as you know it, Showtunes in the hands of Kurt Wagner. Inspiration comes from Tom Waits, Randy Newman, and, perhaps a little more surprisingly, Hoagy Carmichael and George Gershwin.
