Hank Mobley – The Jazz Message of Hank Mobley, Volume 2 (Vinyl LP, Craft Recordings, Original Jazz Classics Reissue) – Mint / Sealed

Hank Mobley's The Jazz Message of Hank Mobley, Volume 2, originally released on Savoy Records in 1956, captures the tenor saxophonist during an important period in the development of hard bop. Featuring pianist Ronnie Ball, bassist Doug Watkins and drummer Kenny Clarke, the album showcases Mobley's warm, fluid saxophone style and understated melodic invention. Combining swinging arrangements with expressive improvisation, the recording reflects the sophisticated small-group jazz emerging in New York during the mid-1950s. This Craft Recordings reissue forms part of the Original Jazz Classics series.
