Duke ’78 captures the Grateful Dead live at Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke University, on April 12, 1978, during a particularly energetic stretch of the band’s late-1970s touring. The set moves from “Jack Straw,” “Dire Wolf” and “Peggy-O” through an expansive second half featuring “Eyes of the World,” “Dancin’ in the Streets” and “Truckin’.” Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh and the two-drummer rhythm section are in full flight throughout, making this a substantial document of the Dead’s 1978 live sound.
