As the name implies, pianist Duke Pearson's 1964 album Wahoo! is thrilling and dynamic. Pearson's talented sextet included trumpeter Donald Byrd, alto saxophonist James Spaulding, Joe Henderson on tenor sax, Bob Cranshaw on bass, and drummer Mickey Roker. Expect lengthy hard bop and smooth jazz compositions.
