Brian Eno’s Ambient 4: On Land is the fourth and final instalment in his influential Ambient series. Originally released in 1982, it moves away from the serene textures of Music for Airports towards something darker and more organic, blending electronics, treated instruments, field recordings and environmental sound into dense, slowly evolving landscapes.
