Boz Scaggs’ My Time is a 1972 album that finds the former Steve Miller Band guitarist developing the soulful, roots-oriented sound of his early solo career. Moving between blue-eyed soul, blues, country and laid-back rock, the record is carried by Scaggs’ expressive vocals and an understated band sound. A strong early album from the period before the polished success of Silk Degrees brought him to a much wider audience.
