Bob Marley and the Wailers’ Buffalo Soldier was released as a single in 1983 following its appearance on the posthumous Confrontation album. One of Marley’s most recognisable later recordings, it combines an immediately memorable melody with the historical story of the Black cavalry regiments of the American West. A classic piece of roots reggae and an excellent 12" format copy.
