McGhee’s bright, agile trumpet leads a quartet featuring Phineas Newborn Jr. on piano, Leroy Vinnegar on bass and Shelly Manne on drums. Bluesy, swinging and beautifully direct, it is a strong example of early-60s West Coast modern jazz. This is a 1989 German pressing on Contemporary Records.

Excellent Vinyl LP and Sleeve.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0735/6402/9192/files/Image562_85fb110b-8782-45ad-94fa-f3747ea2b167.jpg?v=1790938868
https://tomsrecordshop.com/products/howard-mcghee-maggie-s-back-in-town-vinyl-lp-contemporary-records-germany-1989-ex-ex
